The benefits to graduates

Earn while you learn

Unlike a full-time PGCE course, you will earn a competitive salary and be comfortable in the knowledge that your salary is yours to do what you wish.

Zero tuition fees

All your course fees are covered by our Employment-Based SCITT programme so you won’t spend your salary on expensive university fees nor tuition fee loans.

Classroom experience

Most of your time will be spent in a classroom where you will gain priceless practical experience; preparing you for your career as a teacher.

First-class training

You’ll gain first-class teacher training at a leading ITE university. At the end of the 2-year programme, you will achieve qualified teacher status.

The benefits to schools

Cost effective training

At a low daily rate fixed for the duration of 2 years, you get a TA,  trainee teacher and upon completion a qualified teacher all in one package.

Shape your own

The TA trainee teachers will be working in your school full time for 2 years. This is an excellent opportunity to shape their teaching philosophy to match your school ethos.

Increase retention

Recruitment and retention can be resolved since trainee teachers can be offered a role at the end of the programme. By then you know if they’re a suitable fit for your school.

Decision making

You can make a decision over a longer period of time. Use the first year to decide whether the candidate is suitable for your school, with no commitment.
