Bluestones Investment Group has launched its latest joint venture, The NQT Partnership. Managing director Ashley Atmore, launched the business in response to the well-documented, widening qualified teacher shortage in London.

“For several years I’ve been working in Education recruitment supporting over 300 NQTs in finding their first teaching position within London. I wanted to set up a company that had a complete edge. Good, experienced teachers are hard to come by and with an industry that loses on average of 40-50% of it’s workforce within 5 years of qualifying, I wanted to focus on new teachers coming into teaching and supporting them not just with finding a job, but by offering something extra.”

Paul Broderick CEO Specialist Staffing said: “Education staffing is a core sector for the Bluestones Investment Group, so when Ashley approached us with the idea of providing permanent placing for NQTs, we jumped at the chance to be involved. Teacher retention is an issue in the Education sector – we are looking to combat this by placing quality graduates in to permanent roles, with the added benefit for schools to mould staff in their own way.”
